“You’re pregnant?” Bobby caught his breath.
Checking the test-strip again and comparing it with the instructions, Alex nodded.
“Oh!” is Bobby’s only verbal reaction, but his thoughts ran wildly.
“The IVF was really successful. “ Alex couldn’t hide a beaming smile any longer and gently stroked her stomach. “I’ll be a surrogate mother,” she squealed, and stepped closer to Bobby. His expression changed in a split second. He sighed, relieved, as the information reached his mind and he closed his partner in a deep embrace.
“Tell me every detail,” he murmured in her soft hair. Bobby wanted to know everything.
