Can You Spare a Dime?

On my hunt of a few more pictures of Kathryn at the Atlantic Theater Company annual spring gala, I also was looking for articles about the event.

I checked atlantictheater.org and found this announcement:

Come celebrate the great art that’s grown out of hard times at a one-night-only event, Can You Spare a Dime, featuring performances of the unforgettable songs of the 1930s. Seating is limited, so make sure to purchase your ticket or table today to join Co-Chairs Jacqueline Corbelli (CEO, BrightlineiTV), Dan & Nina Gross, and Joan Kern Soboslai at this fun-filled event.

Can You Spare a Dime will take place at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, an elegant event space with picturesque floor-to-ceiling windows and scenic views of the Hudson River. In this warm, intimate space we’ll get through the Great Recession the same way people made it through the Great Depression—with fantastic music, close friends, and stiff drinks. The evening will also feature a three-course dinner prepared by Abigail Kirsch Catering and a live auction with items secured by Auction Chair Wolf Hengst.

I also found two press articles about the night.

Brodway.com: When the Atlantic Theater Company, the off-Broadway juggernaut that has fostered Broadway hits like Spring Awakening and The Lieutenant of Inishmore, celebrated its annual gala on March 7, stars of stage and screen came out to support the award-winning theater group. Actors like Mad Men’s John Slattery and Law and Order star—and Atlantic Theater Company member— Kathryn Erbe got gussied up to attend the glitzy gala, titled ‘Can You Spare a Dime?’ and flocked to the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers to toast the illustrious company. 3. All these VIP events are much much over my own feel good mood. It would be interesting, if the money goes into a trust for Atlantic Theater, or...?
