The Vanishing City

The Vanishing City 2

The Vanishing City

Literally hundreds of luxury high-rises are in development in Manhattan and the outer boroughs. While low-income housing such as Mitchell-Lama is being phased out, the new low and moderate income units being constructed are grossly inadequate. It is increasingly obvious that the economic development is not being evenly spread and that New York is moving closer and closer to a two-tier city of rich and poor. We decided to make a film about this...

NAPO's 2010 Top Cops – 18th May 2010

NAPO's 2010 Top Cops: Heroic acts and sacrifices honored in D.C. ceremony – 18th May 2010

Written by: Karen L. Bune

For the seventeenth consecutive year, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) presented its TOP COPS Awards during National Police Week at a ceremony on May 14, 2010 at the Warner Theater in Washington, D. C. Known as the “Oscars for Cops,” NAPO, which has numerous corporate and law enforcement sponsors, distributes these awards as a means to educate the public concerning the heroic acts and sacrifices of law enforcement officers nationwide.

Hundreds of nominations are solicited from each state annually. Both the nominators as well as the nominees must be sworn law enforcement officers. The best cases are collected and reviewed from every state, U. S. Territory, and the District of Columbia by a committee comprised of national law enforcement organizations and respected leaders in the law enforcement field. The top ten case selections from that group are chosen for the TOP COPS awards, and the remaining are selected as Honorable Mention award winners. The award winners are paid tribute for their outstanding service to their communities throughout the preceding year.

The ceremony began with entrance of the United States Park Police Honor Guard and the Washington, D. C. Regional Pipe Band. The Master of Ceremonies was John Walsh, the host of FOX’s America’s Most Wanted. Prior to each award presentation, a short video was shown that provided a reenactment of the events depicting the heroic acts of the officers being honored. Actors and other celebrities who have portrayed police officers on television or in the movies volunteered their time to serve as presenters. Steve Zirnkilton, Jeremy Ratchford, Felice Schachter, Chris Meloni, David McCallen, Pailey Perrette, Carlo Rota, Kathryn Erbe, Seamus Dever, and Beth Karas were those who participated this year.

As I read that article at unofficially kathryn I started my search to find more about that important event. I contacted Karin Bune the writer of the article and a police columnist. She was very kind to me and we shared a few emails where she promised to look for pictures for me. (I hoped that there are a few of Kathryn as award presenter) At Wednesday Karin send me two pictures. Unfortunately, no one took one with Kathryn but maybe you wanna look anyway.

Show me your closet

Last Sunday my very good friend Katja and me were dancing at the ‘Alte Kantine - Kulturbrauerei’. Not that you think I’m a party girl (okay, I am) but Monday was a holiday so I had the chance to visit that disco after a very long time. The music was good, the dance floor so full (dear, I had millions of elbows in my neck, my back and…) and the tiny room very sticky…but it was really a great night and we danced the whole time.

On the dance floor I saw a girl in a nice top and I remembered one of Kathryn’s tops she wore twice on a Premiere.

I smiled so much as I found out and that fact showed so good that Kathryn is just a normal woman who has favored clothes she wore over many years.

See here at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in spring 2002:

Kathryn wore the same top at the Starry Messenger Event last November:

And when you take a closer look on her leather jacket you’ll maybe remember 23rd April 2010 and the ‘Hard Core’ Arrival at the Tribeca Film Festival:

Hug me!

We had to wait 173 episodes for a closer body contact between Alex and Bobby.

But happily we got a few foretastes from Vincent and Kathryn how that hugging could look.

100 Drabble - Park

Title: Downpour
Prompt: Park
Characters: Alexandra Eames/Robert Goren
Rating: M
Word Count: 97
A/N 1: Maybe we will finally start our rain project TJara?

Sweet and fresh rain drops on hot and salty skin. Fogged car glass hid them from the world. The rhythmic rain noises on the roof mixed with the heavy breathing and wild gasping of the two lovers.

Jerking too much and displacing the gear from P to R. The car rolled and she screamed, startled. He reached for the switch to stop that movement only to pull back his seat as far as possible. He hit the brake, put the car in park and had more room to go on with the spoiling of his half-naked partner.

Vance as well as guest stars Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Gladis, Leslie Hendrix and Malcolm McDowell for each riveting moment of suspenseful drama. Kathryn's Tattoo

Kathryn has a tattoo on her right (when you stand behind her) shoulder. You can see the heart and the inside written characters "T + M" (standing for her (ex) husband Terry and her daughter Maeve) in the movie Stir of Echoes very well.

I read sometimes that Kathryn was very amazed because in that movie she played Maggie and Kevin Bacon her husband Tom.

After finding out the tattoo thing, I started to search for hints if also Alex’s body has that tattoo. Every time Alex wore a tank top my brain signalized the TV: show her right shoulder, show her right shoulder.

In the most cases Kathryn’s body art was hidden but sometimes it shined through.

Until now I found the tattoo in seven episodes but I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

Set Tour Contrast

For the third season DVD's Kathryn made a set tour for Criminal Intent.

Now also Jeff Goldblum did it. Maybe you left Criminal Intent like me after Loyalty but I like these two clips. We see again Bobby's and Alex's desks. Jeff suggests CI - the movie. Something I dream off in my lonely nights and maybe the last chance to see something new of Alex Eames and Bobby Goren.
