Kathryn 2010

Because 2010 is nearly over and the New Year waving for attention, I want to publish Kathryn’s activities of the last year I collected since starting her blog.

I’ll delete the list in the sidebar soon and make a new list for 2011, hopefully with many points. But I’m quite confident. There will be the last Criminal Intent season and there are three film projects of Kathryn which will be finished and maybe a few more movies and red carped joins.

I wish you the best for 2011. I’m really happy that I started my Kathryn blog and join the big blog community. I thank everyone for comments, inspiration, ideas and source material.

My list of ideas what to publish is still full and I can’t wait to share with you.

100 Drabble - Gift Challenge

Title: Birthday Gifts
Prompt: Gift
Characters: Alexandra Eames/Robert Goren/Danny Ross
Rating: T
Word Count: 100
A/N 1: I think so OCC with Danny, but who cares? I had fun.

I looked again, appalled, over my shoulder and saw Eames packing the big straw tote bag.

“Seriously?” I gasped, and the captain nodded. “A stakeout at the beach?” My mouth was so dry. “But Eames will wear a swimsuit, or even worse, a bikini.”

“Right, it should appear authentic,” Ross replied.

“Bikini...are you planning to kill me?”

“Happy birthday, detective.” My eyes flew open.

I turned around because the door swung open. There stood Alex, fixing big sun-glasses in her hair.

“Let’s go.”

Slowly I followed her.

“And don't forget to put sunscreen on each other's backs.” Was Ross giggling?

Mother's House is fully funded

Donation 44 pushed the kickstarter funding of Mother's House of the goal of $2500 US.

Here the reaction of the producers:

WE DID IT!!!
Update #29 posted 14 minutes ago

Thank you, EVERYBODY!
You've kickstarted us right over the moon... fully funded with days to spare.
Davis and I promise to bring you a good movie; the best we can possibly make it. It's our pledge to you and the trust you've put in us. We are incredibly grateful!
THANK YOU!
Ingrid

I knew deep down they and all of us would make it and now Mother's House can be finished the way it should be. I can't wait to watch it.

“Lilah changed the whole dynamic of the family,”

Beth Ostrosky Stern Puts Dogs On Parade
January 14th, 2009 1:48 pm / Author: Valerie Nome

Beth Ostrosky Stern emcees the dog parade during the Year of the Mutt-i-gree event that takes place Tuesday at NYC’s Algonquin Hotel.

The blonde beauty married to Howard Stern rattles off their best qualities such as a “sparkling personality” while pups representing January-December are walked around the room. Later, they’ll be carted back to North Shore Animal League to await adoption.

Finding homes for these cuddly critters is a cause close to Beth’s heart. She raised more than $295,000 for the North Shore Animal League by running in the NYC Marathon last year.

“It’s my passion,” the 36-year-old animal lover tells me. “What’s so great with North Shore is the turnaround is so quick. The puppies I’ll see today — hopefully I’ll never see them again, knock on wood. But there’s an adult dog area where I know a lot of the dogs who have been there for a while because a lot of people don’t want adult dogs. So I do know a lot of them by name. I love going there and I love just giving them kisses because I think they’re missing them.”

Why should we adopt a shelter pet?

“There are so many unwanted dogs out there, and once you adopt from a shelter that will hopefully reduce the euthanasia. These puppy mills are horrific. It’s totally for-profit breeding. It’s despicable.”

Beth and Howard’s bulldog, Bianca Romijn-Stamos-O’Connell, certainly leads a pampered life.

“She’s spoiled every second of the day,” Beth gushes. “I give her peanut butter every morning with her one pill that she doesn’t like. I douse it in peanut butter. Probably not the best thing to do with your fat bulldog, but she definitely likes it.”

Law and Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe, who is the American Mutt-i-grees spokesperson, brings her mutt-i-gree Lilah to the event. Lilah came from North Shore Animal League last year, and now lives with Kathryn, 43, her daughter Maeve, 13, and son Carson, 5.

“Lilah changed the whole dynamic of the family,” Kathryn tells me. “It brings everyone together. She’s this force of love who does not judge, does not get mad … she just walks around and loves all of us. And when my kids are crying, she immediately goes to them. If they’re hurt, she immediately goes to the area where they’re hurt. She’s an incredibly empathetic being.”

Dogs are ideal for kids of any age, depending on the breed, the actress who divorced in 2006 admits.

“It’s good for kids to grow up around dogs,” she says. “A couple of my son’s friends are terrified of dogs because they’ve had bad experiences with dogs. If they grow up around a puppy or an older dog, I think it’s good for them.”

What does she love about being a mom?

“Being a mom has made me just a better person in every way. I’m much less self-centered. My heart grows every day through struggling and love of my kids. It helps balance everything else – the work and the world. It helps keep me grounded and in perspective of what is really meaningful to me. It helps me be conscious of the way that I conduct myself in my relationships and in the world.”

How does being a mom influence the men she dates post-divorce?

“I’m pretty careful about who I associate myself with,” she cautions.

Ooh! Gift bag time. We get icing-covered dog bones from the Beggin’ Beagle Bakery, a burgundy American Mutt-i-grees Club hat and t-shirt that says “Mutt-i-grees Rule!”

Why not bring a shelter pet home? Go to muttigrees.org for more information.

Hannah,

Please don’t think I forgot you. Here is your present and I really needed a longer thinking about it.

100 Drabble - Should Have Known Better Challenge

Title: See...we fit.
Prompt: She/he should have known better, but...
Characters: Alexandra Eames/Robert Goren
Rating: very M
Word Count: 102

She should’ve know better, but as she started her seducing to finally fulfil her naughty dreams, her brain switched off and her longing and needs took control.

It was frustrating, but even in her high-heeled boots Alex didn’t reach Bobby’s lips, and their hips weren’t at the same height.

He tried to chase away her annoyance by bending deeper and kissing her more sensually. He moved his hands around her naked waist, gripped her firm butt and lifted her on his hips.

“See,” Bobby gasped, and placed Alex on his kitchen counter, “We fit.” Carefully he entered her and they became one.

Wickedlocal.com announced an article:

"Sunny Side Up" shoots in Scituate
By Nancy White
Wicked Local Scituate
Posted Oct. 07, 2010 @ 04:00 PM

Scituate — Hollywood has come to Scituate.
Starting Monday, Oct. 4, a film crew for an independent movie set up shop on the South Shore. Filming began at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, but on Tuesday film crews were at the Egypt Country Store in Scituate, and both Fitts Mill and Bullman Marine will be set locations as well.
The movie is called “Sunny Side Up” and stars a local actress and producer Christy Scott Cashman (she also wrote the screenplay) and Parker Posey, who starred in “Best in Show,” among other movies.
The crew was scheduled to be in and around Cohasset most of the week, shooting scenes in Cohasset Village and JJ’s Dairy Hut on Route 3A. Over the next three weeks, the movie will be filmed in various locations in Cohasset, Hingham and Scituate. The bulk of the movie will be shot at the Weir River Farm in Hingham.
The movie follows Millie Bartlett (Cashman), who is struggling to keep the chicken farm that has been in her family for generations afloat. A chance meeting (shot at the Red Lion Inn) brings her together with Angelica Feelgoode (Posey), an energy and fitness guru to the stars. To help support her farm, Millie agrees to film a reality show with her new friend.
Scituate and the South Shore were chosen because “it’s got the look,” said Ryan Cook, assistant location manager for the film. He was charged by the film’s producers to find the spaces and locations that fit the feel and look desired for the film. The film is meant to take place in a small coastal town in Maine.
“(They) have a quaint feel to it. A fishing town feel and that’s what we were looking for,” Cook said.
Around noontime on Monday, evidence of a movie production could be found in scaffolding about 20 feet high with a camera setup on top. A scene was being shot where two of the movie’s characters were walking across the breezeway between the main Red Lion Inn building and the barn. The movement was being shot from multiple angles. A trailer truck was parked in Cohasset Village with all sorts of moviemaking equipment, and various members of the production crew could be seen around the Red Lion Inn.
“It’s basically a construction site that moves every day — and we have to feed everyone, find parking and interface with local police, fire departments and businesses,” Cook said of the on-location production. He had been at the Red Lion since 3a.m. on Monday.
Passersby in Cohasset showed some interest in the moviemaking on Monday. Cook said people were “all smiles” as they came to see what was going on at the Red Lion. He said the top three questions he gets asked are “What’s going on here?” “Who’s starring in the movie?” and “Can I be an extra.?”
At the Red Lion, the barn was being turned into a yoga studio for a scene and other scenes were being shot in The Cave (the inn’s basement bar), the saloon, the inn’s lobby and one of the hotel’s rooms.
Making a movie is slow going; on average a day of filming yields about a minute of film. This being a smaller-scale film, it may be a faster production schedule with an output of three or four minutes a day, Cook said.
Cook said he has received support from the community in the planning for the movie.
“We couldn’t have made this film without the support of the towns and the generosity of various vendors,” Cook said.
