Steppenwolf Theatre Company: Twenty-Five Years of an Actor's Theater by Victor Skrebneski

For a few days I’m thinking about collection Kathryn’s entire theater work and add a new tab here at my blog. I started to collect data and articles yesterday. Of course I made also a picture hunt. With Kathryn Erbe Theater I found a few pictures of GLAAD, Talk Radio, the USA Upfronts, Cirque du Soleil and the Opening Night of Almeida Theater Production's Festen I never saw before. Yeah, these events didn’t really belong to Kathryn and Theater, but I love to have new photos of her.

One article moved me to the next picture and so on and so on. Finally I stopped again at strangevisitor.org the beautiful Kathryn Erbe photo and cap collection. I also visited cinberblock42’s LJ and found out even more information.

I didn’t know that this beautiful shooting photo was bought on ebay from cinderblock and she scanned it so we all have the pleasure to enjoy Kathryn.

I knew that these two pics were taken for the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. I thought it were promo pictures or stuff like that, but didn’t think of a book as source.
So I ended with browsing through US ebay and amazon for:

In the past 25 years, the legendary Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Chicago has redefined the landscape of acting and performance, spawning a generation of Americas most gifted actors. ney, Laurie Metcalf, Terry Kinney, Jeff Perry, Frank Galati, Glenne Headly, Gary Cole, Kevin Anderson, Martha Plimpton and many others.
To celebrate 25 years of extraordinary achievement, acclaimed photographer Victor Skrebneski has created an impressive photography book featuring historical production highlights and exclusive portraits of Steppenwolfs 33-member ensemble of actors and directors. Steppenwolf at 25 also contains short, thoughtful essays penned by several notable American authors and playwrights, including Studs Terkel, Sam Shepard, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Don DeLillo, Jon Robin Baitz, Richard Christiansen and Lanford Wilson. The book also provides a brief history of
Steppenwolf with a complete production list, ensemble member biographies and thoughts on the nature of theater and the nature of ensemble theater.

…and ordered this morning my used like new version for 13 € (including shipping). I can’t wait to have the book in my hand, even if there are only two pictures of Kathryn inside.

I need to read all the theatre articles, make a time line of Kathryn’s on stage jobs and more. Then I’ll open the next tab here at Lovely Kathryn.
