What's a gay guy to do when his mom is getting more action than he is? by Dan Avery
Navigating the dating scene can be difficult for any young gay
man—trying to do it alongside your mom is downright treacherous.
In Dating My Mother, a single mom (Law & Order: Criminal Intent’s Kathryn Erbe) and her gay son (newcomer Patrick Reilly) are both on the hunt for Mr. Right.
We’ve got high hopes for the film, which starts shooting next week: In addition to its talentent leads, Dating My Mother features James Le Gros (Girls) as a love interest for Erbe’s character, out actor Paul Iacono (The Hard Times of RJ Berger) as a potential boyfriend for her son, and gay fave Kathy Najimy as the family’s neighbor.
It’s the first feature film from writer-director Mike Roma, who charmed us with his web series, Danny the Manny
