New Decoration...

...for my office place.

The Rattlestick/Cherry Lane Theater Program of 'Ode to Joy' with Kathryn's greetings arrived two days ago. I decided to clip it beside my Binder Project letter copy of Kathryn onto my work computer. Hurray to the beautiful flowers of Alberto. They decorate my ugly and so SLOW PC even more. You also can see a few post cards of friends and colleagues which make my working space unique.
Thank you again Blanca for sending me for the fourth or fifth time a piece of Kathryn and of course I'll keep you updated of her work. You're my connection to New York City ;o)

Norman Reedus

Like I told you a few days ago, I joined tumblr. Here is my own page. God, I count 400 entries in only two weeks (most of this re-blogs and not own stuff). It's crazy but so much fun. I also discovered Norman Reedus during this time and tumblr let me fall in love with him. He hit me out of nowhere but it's also so easy because there are so many beautiful pictures of this artists around. It feels like being in a candy shop. Everywhere delicious stuff. No it's more like being in front of the candy shop and looking through the door. Still so much undiscovered work to catch.

In the last days I managed to watch several commercials and music video clips Norman was is. I watched The Walking Dead S1. (Yesterday started S2), single other TV episodes he had guest appearances. I also already watched The Boondock Saints (I didn't really get even when it seems the favorite movie of every Norman fan). Plus I also re-watched Cadillac Records. This is the only Norman movie in my own DVD collection.

I also made a few animations and other artwork yet and yesterday I found finally my first connection to Kathryn. Enjoy...

Norman Reedus made at least three D'Urban commercials in 2010. Check youtube for them! Ron Cobert shoot amazing, unique and very creative pictures. One of the clips ends with Norman touching the hands of a woman.

And here is my Kathryn Erbe connection. Do you remember the last but one scene of Stir of Echoes? Sigh and they both slip to the same side *melt*.

Same skirt??

Blanca posted a few more pictures of the Ode to Joy reading. Read here her report.

As I saw the pictures of Kathryn I thought, mhm is this the same skirt she wore to NBC's Weekend Today last year? You decide ;o)

Reading: Adele

Please visit Blanca's blog Vincent and the Mystic Pizza Box and read her amazing report of the Ode to Joy reading. I can't wait to see more pictures of the stage event.

I'm glad Blanca found the time to visit Craig Lucas' play and I'm so much more happy that she found the time to organize me another program with Kathryn's sign on it.

Let's cross our fingers that Ode to Joy will be picked up and produced for Off-Broadway this year (with Kathryn playing Adele would be too marvelous.)

Picture amendment

Over the last couple of days there popped up a few more pictures of Kathryn at her late red carpet visits and theater events. Enjoy:

If you want to see 17 more photos of Kathryn at the Steppenwolf Red or White Ball, go to the manocam photography homepage. They made beautiful pictures and captured the event very well. (Unfortunately not one pic 'Kathryn dancing'.)

Furthermore here is a short video of the night.

Ode to Joy

RATTLESTICK TONGUES: a readings series, a special installment of TONGUES, returns in 2012 with free readings presented by Cherry Lane Theatre and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater!

Tuesday, May 8th at 2pm at Cherry Lane
Ode to Joy
written and directed by Craig Lucas

*with Kathryn Erbe, Arliss Howard, and Joanne Tucker
Reservations at slawrence@cherrylanetheatre.org
*Casts subject to change

Yesterday I wrote an email to the Rattlestick Crew and told them how happy I am, that Kathryn will work again with them. They answered, they are also happy to have her back ;o)

I also wanted to know more about Craig Lucas' play,  but they do not have a synopsis due to the fact it is such a new work and is likely to change before the reading on Tuesday.

In my last line I suggested to film the reading and put it online on their youtube channel (it's a for free event and I thought it would be very cool). It had been great to see at least this way Kathryn on stage. But unfortunately they cannot film the reading because of Actor's Equity and copyright issues. *sigh*

Nevertheless, it was awesome to get such a quick and kind answer. I also contacted Blanca of Vincent and the mystic Pizzabox. She will try to leave work earlier on Tuesday. Cross your fingers and we'll get a very detailed report about the reading.

For more information follow The Rattlestick Playwright Theater and The Cherry Lane Theater on twitter.

Of course NOT!

Lovely Kathryn will be my place to share all the Kathryn Erbe information, artwork and a little private stuff with you. But like my wonderful friend citjara I opened a tumblr account. There I want to share my artwork as well.

Lois Smith to Be Honored at Ensemble Studio Theatre Benefit

By Sarah Moore • Apr 30, 2012

The Ensemble Studio Theatre will honor two of its most distinguished members, the acclaimed actress Lois Smith and two-time Board chair G.H. "Denny" Denniston, Jr with its 2012 Distinguished Member Award at a "Fun-Raiser" benefit celebration Monday evening, May 14, at 6:45pm at SIR Stage 37, 508 West 37th Street. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner. At 8:45pm, EST will celebrate its honorees during the "Lois and Denny Hour." Inspired by The Johnny Carson Show, the show will be hosted by Peter Maloney, with his sidekick Tyrone played by Steve Boyer, the EST-V house band composed of EST member musicians, with special guests in attendance including Kathryn Erbe, Dominic Chianese, Jerry Zaks, Mary Stuart Masterson, Jeremy Davidson, John Guare, the cast of Amy Herzog's After the Revolution, Jon Robin Baitz, David Rasche, Carolyn Cantor and others (list in formation/subject to change). Smith's first role on Broadway was as Melvyn Douglas's teenage daughter in Time Out for Ginger. She was nominated for a Tony for her performances in The Grapes Of Wrath and Buried Child. In 2005 - 2006, the actress played Carrie Watts in Horton Foote's The Trip To Bountiful at Signature Theatre, for which she received five awards: an Obie, Lucille Lortel, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and the Kingsley-Evans Award. Most recently she was seen in After the Revolution by Amy Herzog and Tony Kushner's The Illusion. Denniston joined the board of The Ensemble Studio Theatre and six months later became its chairman for the next ten years. While he continued on the Board and to provide financial counsel, he became treasurer in 2004 and was again elected chairman in 2007, serving through this year.

Space is limited so reserve your seats now! Here you can order your tickets for the event. Also visit BroadwayWorld.com for more information.
