A gold slice of a tree

Maybe you asked yourself (like I did) about Alex Eames' new jewels in Season 10. She carried a big golden ring at her index finger and there was also this golden necklace with the round pendant which was added to Alex's cross.

Kathryn answered in one of the twitter sessions about the jewels:

QUESTION: Kyasurin_Chan
What's up with the new ring on Eames' index finger?
ANSWER: KATHRYN
That is an amazing ring from Daphna Simon. Her designs are very organic, yellow gold. It's as if I wore a slice of a tree

In July I caught this tweet of @DaphnaSimon: Kathryn Erbe rocking her very own pair of gold rock hoop earrings by Daphna Simon. Of course I went to Ms Simon's facebook page and found one more confirmation.

Last weekend I remembered that I never posted about my found. Shame on me. But I used the necklace for a short drabble I want to include at the BigBang for tvrealm. Stay tuned, the header I created for the drabble is beautiful.

More Woodstock Launching

I thank TheReel for the publishing of the Woodstock Film Festival Vincent D'Onofrio photos. She also guided to the picture source. From there it was only a little step to the Woodstock Launch Party pictures. See, they made more than the two pictures of Kathryn I already showed during my vacation.

Dear, she looked so absolutely gorgeous in this gray dress.

Lago di Garda vacations

Here a longer slide show made of photos of my two weeks Italy trip. It was great but so so hot. The ice cream was more than delicious, the landscape so beautiful, the lake clear and I feel the need to refresh my sailing skills.

2011 North Shore Animal Mutt-i-grees Mania Launch

Here are a few pictures of the big finale to the “Get Your Licks on Route 66″ Pet Adoption Tour on September 25, 2011 in New York. Kathryn is looking fabulous in the short denim slirt and the sporty t-shirt. See now Maeve is taller than her mom. Unfortunately, I didn't spot Lilah or Tallulah, but there had been many dogs around. I hope that a lot of them found a new home.

Mother's House going Europe

…and looking for an English to German translator for the subtitle. Just let me know and I’ll connect you with Ingrid Price.

But before the short will enter LiFF (Lucerne International Film Festival) between October 19 – 23, you’ll have the chance to catch Kathryn’s movie at the second airing of Woodstock Film Festival tonight. Remember 10 pm during the Lost Found section at Kleinert James Art Center.

The Louisville International Festival of Film also published their schedule calendar. Mother’s House will be shown at Willow Room – Galt House October 8th, 5:30 pm. Look here for ticket information.

If you didn’t catch a tweet, the facebook entry or visited the MH homepage, again the hint to Ulster Magazine. Look at page 13 and following and read a long article about film making in Ulster Country. The writer mentioned Tim Guinee and showed two pictures around the Mother’s House making.
Thomas and Catherine arrive at his late mother's rural home. They are unprepared for what they find. Thomas can hardly remember the last time he was there, and Catherine never even met the old lady. There's a lifetime of accumulated clutter to sort through, and the couple wastes no time starting to empty the house. But more than just "mother's things" await them in the dusty rooms.
The outside world recedes, and what started as a simple task now seems impossible, even dangerous. Possessed by memories and eerie dreams, Catherine and Thomas begin to feel trapped. Then they become aware of a third presence... a sweet-faced young boy, lingering silently in the half-empty rooms.
Catherine is anxious to leave, but Thomas is frozen; unable to discard his old toys, drawn irresistibly to his childhood bedroom. The couple is pulled apart, dismantling themselves as they dismantle the house. There is a terrible secret in mother's house, and they cannot help but discover it.

P.S. Translate to German: "While emptying his late mother's rural home, Thomas and his wife, Catherine, discover increasingly disturbing secrets until the conflict between memory and truth threatens to destroy them both." I passed my version to Ingrid and read another at facebook. Be a part of Kathryn's movie and help the producers to spread their wonderful movie.
