With the first six seasons (which aired on NBC) already on DVD, fans have wondered if the final four seasons (which moved to the USA Network) would see the light of day. Worry no longer! Today a pre-order entry (see button link below) at Amazon.com revealed that Law & Order: Criminal Intent - The 7th Year is indeed coming to DVD, and will be in stores on June 26th. The price is $49.97 SRP [$34,99 at amazon], but you can lock in your copy at a discount if you pre-purchase it right away. We also have an early look at the box art for you, too!

Tribes Opening Night

Oh, two events in a row? Very cool! I can't wait to see Kathryn's outfit of tonight, when she'll attend at the Atlantic Theater event. Here I really like the tight jeans and the bracelet. Also her haircut is amazing. I so love Kathryn's expressions here on the left. Wonderful caught moment.

Nina Raine's Olivier Award-nominated play Tribes opened on Sunday, March 4 at the Barrow Street Theatre. The production is directed by David Cromer

Will Brill, Russell Harvard, Jeff Perry, Susan Pourfar, Gayle Rankin, and Mare Winningham star in the play, about how the relationship between a deaf son and his hearing family changes after he meets a woman from a deaf family who is rapidly losing her hearing.

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Keith Parham (lighting design), Daniel Kluger (sound design), and Jeff Sugg (projection design).

Guests at the performance included producers Jean Doumanian, Scott Morfee and Tom Wirtshafter, as well as Glen Berger, Kathryn Erbe, Edie Falco, Laura Osnes, Bruce Pask, Melissa Van Der Schiff, and Max Von Essen.

I want to tell you a little more about the story that Kathryn Erbe was holding MY artwork in her hands ;o)

I started to write a letter to Kathryn during the whole CI filming last Spring. I don't know why I never finished it and sent it to Chelsea Piers???

But in January I knew I would get another chance (not going the long way round using the Gersh Agency) to contact Kathryn. Blanca tweeted or mentioned in her blog that she would visit Yosemite twice. I asked her if I could send her my letter and she would pass it to Kathryn after the performance. Blanca agreed immediately. I knew I had a little time until February 26th. I took the old letter and re-wrote it. I also printed the magazine cover and article (my masterpieces of the tvrealm landcomm) as little gift for Kathryn because I asked for an autograph in the letter and it would be awesome if Kathryn took a look on my work. I hope she smiled about the article.

Even when sending everything in early February, the letter only arrived sometimes last week. Woah, I was so frightened it wouldn't get there in time. But now I'm so happy. Kathryn got the letter and my gift and maybe she'll answer...

...we will see ;o)

So here we are again with another show. This is just too much fun and I already writing fanfiction in my head. I choose option b + d.

b. Writing: Get more in depth. Write an additional 500 words on how your story will begin/unfold.
d. Graphics: Create two graphics for your show. They can be banners, posters, wallpapers, etc. 400x250px minimum--images must be colored/altered.

Before you can read what I produced I want to thank my friend quietfireca for her beta help. If you think the English of episode 4 + 5 are so much worse you're right. I was so stupid sending Suzanne not the whole text last night, doink.

Jade

From the same producers as Barbary and Law & Order: Internal Affairs and featuring the show runner of Heal & Caring: Medical Intent – the Saint James Hospital: Havers Network presents Jade. The historic mini tv series will follow the hard and dangerous life of Captain Richard Harper (Vincent D’Onofrio) and his Atlantic schooner, Jade. On the other side there is the young widow Jade Buchanan (Kathryn Erbe) who lost her husband only a few months ago and who wants to leave Ireland because of the beginning potato famine. She seeks a better life for her little son and plans to immigrate to Philadelphia.
Stay tuned for five exciting episodes of 90 minutes.

The show takes place in 1848. Richard Harper is the owner and captain of the transport schooner Jade. From the American East coast Harper and his loyal crew deliver cotton and tobacco to the British Islands and from the old colonial power they transport iron, glass and textiles to the New World. Now and then Richard also transports immigrants. In the last couple of years more and more people asking him for a passage on his schooner in the Irish harbors of Cork and Cobh.
Every crossing is a challenge. There lurk pirates, hunting for unarmed and unsuspecting ships. Calm weather can delay the time schedule for weeks. But when they sail in the windier north malicious icebergs can harm the schooner.

The death of Patrick Buchanan was only six months ago. Jade not only lost her loving husband, she also was evicted from their farm of Patrick’s family. Now she needs to make new plans to organize her life and the future of her nine year old son, Thomas.

#1 Clove Hitch

Captain Richard Harper and his crew enter port the harbor of Boston. Jade, the transport schooner is in a miserable condition. One mast is broken and a lot of the sails and rigs are ripped. On their way from Liverpool the Jade sailed into a bad storm off Newfoundland. Richard needs to repair the ship but he is also looking for new crew members. At least he doesn’t need to agonize about the next transport duty. In Boston Richard has many partners who are waiting for him and the cargo hold of the Jade.
One month later Richard will be able to leave the US coast to sail back to Ireland, with the new navigator, Mael Washington (Idris Elba) on board. They only stop once in Halifax. There it becomes even more apparent that Richard isn’t really happy with his bachelor land life – a girl in every port. He longs for a more regular life and maybe a family.

#2 Sheet Band

Jade awakes from another nightmare. She dreamed again of her late husband Patrick and how his brother banished her and Thomas from their farm. She turns on her side to watch her little son sleeping. The first lights of dawn entered the tiny room. Jade has to get up. Her first job at a shabby harbor scriptorium would start soon. At three afternoons a week she also gives private lessons to the son of Cork’s biggest shipping company owner. Jade would like to work again as teacher like she did in Kerry, but there were no free jobs when she came to the city four months ago. Without her husband Jade feels not save in the big town. Mr. Abernathy, the hot-tempered company owner tries to make her his mistress. Until now Jade could resists the advances but she knows Abernathy isn't a man who accepts a no. Also her work at the office is a walk on eggshells. Kevin O’Leary, the corrupt head-clerk appropriate obviously company money that even Jade had notice it during her first week of work. At least she finally get a letter from her oversea family. Finally a way out.

#3 Half Hitch

Abernathy attacks Jade. Only the arrival of his wife can prevent the rape. On her escape back home, Richard passes Jade. He notes her displaced and tattered dress but she is too afraid to stop when she hears the voice of an unfamiliar man. She doesn't remember Richard. He had been at the office during her first week in Cork as he had been in Ireland for the last time.

Despite the assault Jade has to go back to work at the office only a few days later. But inspectors investigate and no one is allow to touch the papers and files. O'Leary's fraud is finally uncovered. There is nothing which hold Jade and Thomas at Ireland any longer. The money Abernathy had sent to buy Jade's silence would help to get a transport over the Atlantic. The note from her family underwrote teacher positions in Philadelphia and they also would house Jade and Thomas for their first weeks in the US.

On her way out of the occupied office Jade meets again Richard and John McClary (Scott Caan), the ship's cook. They are looking for contracts but leave empty-handed due to the investigations. Now Jade remembered Richard. Without further ado she asked him if on his ship is a place for her and Thomas. The captain agrees.

#4 Bowline

The endlessness of the ocean releases Jade. Finally she is free and her past is closed. Thomas and she are the only passengers. She makes friend with most of the crew very quickly but to Richard grows a band both can't explain. To fill the long days at the close place Jade teaches John reading and writing. In exchange he shows Thomas how to cook. But also Richard offers that Jade can check his work papers and books to reduce a little of his duties. This gifted times he spends with Jade.
A very fierce flu of Jade at half way to America makes their bond even stronger. As captain, Richard is also the physician of the Jade. He tends devotionally Jade and hover over her for several night.

#5 Reef Knot

Two days before they reach Philadelphia, Richard invites Jade for a last dinner at his coach. First they share kisses and then they spend the night together. Richard allows Jade to grieve about Patrick and he is also a big help to deal with the attack of Abernathy.
It's hard to say goodbye, but Philadelphia offers a new life for Jade and her son. Nevertheless she is at the harbor as the Jade and Richard sail back to Europe. A last catch of each others eyes. Maybe the second Jade will let Richard give up his first one and he'll change is life. He'll have time of two Atlantic passages to think about everything...

A/N 1: Post Lady's Man. Alex needs to clear her mind after the arresting of Mulrooney.
A/N 2: With beta help of gorengal.

Alex Eames needed to be alone. After she clicked her partner's handcuffs around Kevin Mulrooney's wrists, she almost fled out of Major Case. No one should see the horror in her face, the terror in her eyes. During the darkest time in her life she had let this man so close, so damn close. Ten years later the same man had become a murderer to destroy her life.

Alex wanted to think about everything and also wanted to clear her mind. Nothing helped better than walking. Half the night she strolled through the never-sleeping streets of Manhattan. The noises and flashing lights were good to cover her racing thoughts. But to warm up again, Alex entered the subway. Amongst the clackering, chattering, and squeaking of the silver underground train, she rested and her stiff, tired limbs recovered.

Beach, Alex wanted to go to the beach and see the sun rise over the never-ending ocean. Brighton Beach and Coney Island were closer, but she didn't want to be around the touristy boardwalks and amusement park. She just wanted sand and surf. Alex decided to visit Rockaway Beach, her old neighborhood. She could walk forever, her only company the breaking waves and seagulls.

Alex left the MTA at Rockaway Park and headed east into the morning over endless beach.

Hot tears moistened her cold cheeks as the sun slowly climbed over the horizon, dipping the sea in a gold carpet. But Alex moved on, the icy wind catching her loosened strands. A few early joggers passed her way but no one noticed her silent sobs. One subway station passed into another. Alex had given up counting the endless wooden breakwater walls or the concreted beach entries she left behind.

One sandpiper grabbed Alex's attention and she tried to follow the little bird with her eyes. As it was only a little dark dot on creamy sand, she noted another person. No one had passed or had gotten ahead of her during the last mile. Alex checked her watch - time for work, but she knew Bobby would cover her. She felt drained and frostbitten but she wanted to move on. The fresh air deafened so good. The dark figure got bigger and she could see that he put up two deck chairs. Who would take a sunbath at 40 °F? But to sit down and close her eyes was very alluring.

After the man unfolded a big blanket, he turned in her direction and walked closer. A familiar limping, the long winter coat...
"Bobby..." Alex gasped.

No words as they finally met. He saw everything in her face and she would ask later how he found her. Now it only was important that he was with her, that he held her, that she could cry again, snuggling into the warm embrace of a friend.

Holding hands, Bobby guided Alex the last steps to the chairs, spreading the blanket over them. Together they sat in silence, looking over the ocean, their fingers still folded.

"Everything okay?" Bobby asked as he passed her a mug with steaming coffee.

"I don't know," Alex replied honestly.

Stage or screen stars of the past you would most have loved to perform with: There are so many, but the one who just came to mind is Lynn Redgrave. I would love to have a chance to work with her again on stage or on any screen. She was one of my heroes, as an artist but especially as a person and a MOM.

Worst flubbed line/missed cue/onstage mishap: In The Grapes of Wrath I played "the woman who gets shot in Hooverville," and one night the gun didn't go off. Thankfully, I chose to stay "in the moment" and not pretend I got shot anyway. I actually considered pretending the gun went off! SO embarrassing !!!!!

Worst costume ever: Curlers in Breathing Lessons

What drew you back to the stage and this role? Yosemite blew me away after reading it for the first time. I knew in my gut I wanted to be a part of it. I fell in love with the characters and their story. I was terrified of the emotional journey but knew I needed to do it anyway, or actually because it was so scary. I crave acting onstage and have missed it terribly.

A few of your favorite screen roles: Maggie in "Stirs Of Echoes," Lucille in "Rich In Love," Liz in "Dream with the Fishes"

Something about you that surprises people: That I was a high school drop-out at 16 who ended up going to an alternative HS, graduating and going on to NYU.

The tropes of Criminal Intent

Broken Bird & It's Personal: Alex Eames in Amends. The two partners finally solve the murder of Alex’s husband, Joe Dutton. He was killed in the line of duty nine years ago. As Bobby opened the case files Alex is in tears: ‘This isn’t another one of your puzzles.’

The Cast Showoff: Vincent D’Onofrio’s ability of magic tricks was portrait in at least three episodes of Criminal Intent. Especially in Vanishing Act he was allow to cast a spell of his partner and the viewer.

Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: See and I only looked for caps of season one [where Vincent was much slender than later on ;o)]. I really love the combination of Bobby Goren 6'4" and Alex Eames 5'2" plus the fact that Alex is the senior in their partnership.

In the Blood: Alex Eames is the daughter of Johnny Eames, a former cop of the NYPD. Now and then we get a little information about the man. He worked at precinct 40 and 91. He had problems with the city and his retirement pay because of being a double earner. Johnny was shot by Dempsey Powers in 1987. Alex and her dad made long hikes at Harriman State Park in her youth. He was also the one who passed her the love to cars. All in all, Criminal Intent drew a positive picture of Johnny Eames I liked. Finally in season 10 we met Mr. Eames. He was not likeable and very mean to his daughter: *sigh*.

Last Name Basis: When the two main characters of Criminal Intent address and use their names, it’s in the most cases their last name. Okay, Alex says a few times Bobby but Bobby uses Alex only six times in 10 years. Here you can find a list who said what when.

Like Brother and Sister: I hate to confess, but this is the term Bobby feels his relationship to Alex. He called her sis, as he is in Tates. Okay, maybe that was cover not to blow his undercover mission. But he repeated that Alex is like a sister for him in season ten. Dr. Gyson, his mandatory therapist, asked him if he loves Alex. Bobby’s reaction is very intense and not what I hoped for so long. Of course I knew we would never get a driving together in the sunset, married with children (hehehe, at least we got the sunset drive), but to get such a final answer of this 10 year dance of if or if not, ship or no ship, everyone could interpret everything felt flat.
On the other side it’s so cute when Vincent said about Kathryn that she is like a sister for him. That is so cute and get me in a very good mood. Take a look.

Mad Artist: Criminal Intent portrayed a few artists like singer, actor, designers but also drawer. During season four we met Spencer Farnell at The Posthumous Collection. He made breathtaking photos. The only downside, his models were death, so they can hold the pose forever...

She Is Not My Girlfriend: What a shame. I wanted to show you a video mix of Zoonotic - the hooker scene, Brother’s Keeper – Frank asking if Alex is Bobby’s wife and Endgame – Francis wants to meet Bobby’s girlfriend. I’m not a video girl and I badly should start to learn how to use my new Magix program.

Yosemite - Opening Night

Two days ago Playbill. com published a few more ON STAGE pictures of Yosemite.

Yesterday was the official opening of Daniel Talbott's Off-Boraodway Play. The actors, the playwright and director incited to the Opening Night After Party at Dublin 6 in New York City.

A lot of reviews about Yosemite popped up. Some critics like the play other not. Some say the actors are good but the writing is bad and there are too many open answers.

Take a look:

Variety.com: Yosemite by Marilyn Stasio.

...Erbe brings an ethereal quality to Julie's suicidally depressed persona that makes her attractive, in a spooky kind of way. But the character is too catatonic to play the role of catalyst and kick-start this stalled play into some kind of action. And in the end her main contribution is to show us exactly why her miserable kids are so depressed...

...By the time hollow-eyed, rambling Mom (Kathryn Erbe) shows up to see how it's going, it's clear why none of them will even look at her at first. Erbe gives a deeply affecting performance as their angry, guilty, loving but despairing mother. Numrich and Erbe have a potent scene where they overlap screaming repeatedly at one another, which is as emotionally draining to watch as it must be to enact.

It's clear that the kids have a terrible foreboding about just why their mother has come to reminisce with them, as she tries to plant happy memories in their minds. The actors have created such believable characters that the audience is numbed by the idea of more sorrow ahead for them.

The crackling dialogue and suspenseful silences are well-paced by Pascal. Raul Abrego's impressive onstage forest, complete with sunken hole full of big rocks and dirt, provides an artful, natural background to Talbott's breathtaking, unnatural human tragedy...

...Erbe is never convincing in her character's admittedly overwritten and overwrought speeches. And Julie's arrival onto the scene about midway through the play signals the work's descent into bathos, leading to an overly predictable conclusion that does not have the dramatic impact that was likely intended...

...It must be said that this is no way the fault of the performers, all of whom are focused and committed to their portrayals. Numrich, late of War Horse, is excellent at conveying the leaking soul of an emotionally hollowed-out teenager; and Erbe tempers Julie's distant resentment with the proper dose of too-processed brightness. They're believable as both individuals coping with layers of troubles, and a family struggling to understand how to live together, which certainly helps fill in a lot of the gaps in Talbott's writing and in Pascal's pace-challenged staging.

But even the best actors can only do so much. These characters are too sketchy to come alive, and Talbott's one-dimensional view of this family in crisis trumpets its emptiness too loudly for you to care about how they could escape from their hopelessness, and the lack of any richness in the writing means you cannot be elevated by their myriad losses. You're ultimately left feeling exactly what they do: nothing. That's a tough hook on which to hang any play, but it can work when concept, execution, and message unite. They never do, and never even come close, in Yosemite...

...The production is undermined by a reliance upon hypernaturalistic acting more suited to the small screen, with both Kathryn Erbe, as Julie, and Libby Woodbridge, as Ruby, hard to understand as they underarticulate and somehow throw lines away in the tiny Rattlestick Playwrights Theater space. Erbe has a couple of moments, such as when Julie suddenly accuses her children of being ungrateful because they don't love her anymore, but otherwise her Julie is awfully small for a woman who has behaved in the ways she has. Woodbridge's Ruby stays too much on a single note of subdued plaintiveness. Noah Galvin can't do much with the largely silent Jer, who has so little to do that we sometimes forget he's there at all...

I thought I saw every Criminal Intent Season 10 clip USA Network produced to promote the last eight episodes. But yesterday I found this little gem.

Oh wow, what a smile. I miss Alex and Bobby badly.

I think I said it before, but I really like that even after 10 years of work, it's amazing that Kathryn and Vincent still sit next to each other, while waiting on the next scene to film.

Last night Blanca published her photos of her Yosemite matinee visit. Take a look at her Vincent and the Mystic Pizza Box blog. She also wrote a little about her meeting with Kathryn.

I also got a wonderful comment of Virginia the author of Acceptance Project. She made this awesome interview with Daniel Talbott.

I have to say, Kathryn is absolutely brilliant in "Yosemite." Her performance is so beautifully subtle, with a smoldering passion underneath even the most off-the-cuff line. You can't help but believe every word! She's so delicate and so strong at the same time. It's a great role for her and she never pulls back from the emotional intensity.

This was my first time seeing her perform live...and I think she's wonderful.

Here another comment about Yosemite made by kcweakley at GoldStar.com:

Excellent show. There were moments when the dramatic tension broke and it was re-focused almost immediately. The actors maintained a level of excellence that was admirable and intense. I was stunned with the content of the show, the story is shocking, and I suspect close to the truth. It is not for the feint of heart. The set was brilliant. The proscenium disappeared into the distant forests of Yosemite. Excellent.

I only read one tumblr entry, that the visitor didn't like Kathryn's performance.

The Love Guide

Maybe you discovered it but a few days after New Year I deleted nearly my whole Kathryn’s Current Movie section here at the blog. Today I finally found the time to reinstall the tab. Thank God, I never deleted the movie information in my side bar. I only need to add all the screenings for Mother’s House and 3 Backyards to have the section complete again, phu.

With checking all the information I was curious about the status of Sunny Side Up and made a new google check.

Take a look what I found. They renamed the movie to ‘The Love Guide’. There is also a trailer available (sniff they really managed to make TWO spelling mistakes in Kathryn’s name). But I didn’t found anymore news beside a page with a synopsis and the DVD cover, spotlight-pictures.com.

Al hates the idea of being filmed and refuses to participate, creating more friction in her relationship with Mille. He spends most of his time on his fishing boat.

Jer:

Male. Seeking actor 18+ to play 10-13. Jer is the youngest of the three. Alone so much that he has developed a wild imagination. Doesn't talk much. Still a child, and very naïve. Entertains himself with simple things, and isn't concerned with the fighting that goes on between his sister, brother and mother.

Julie:

Woman, 30s-40s. Underweight. Beautiful. Mother of the three kids. Appears to have deserted them, and might be responsible for the death of their baby brother. Inappropriate and immature for a mother. Doesn't take responsibility for her actions. Lives in the past. Dead in the eyes most of the time, but much like a wounded animal can be fierce and dangerous when backed into a corner. A lost soul.

Tell me about Yosemite. What was the rehearsal process like? What do you love most about the play?

Yosemite is Daniel Talbott's new play that deals with a very dark moment in the life of a family who live in a trailer park near in the foothills of the Sierra mountains in northern California. I am in love with this play and am so happy to be involved in it. I think it is a bold and daring piece of theatre and I'm very excited about sharing it with audiences at Rattlestick. The rehearsal process has been pretty short and very intense. We've found that since the subject of the matter is very heavy we all need to keep the rehearsal room light while we're working. There is a lot of silliness. But when it comes to the work everyone has been extremely committed and I am so proud of what we are creating together.

...But he's recently been pursuing his interest in directing as well, and is currently helming the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre's production of Yosemite, a new play by Daniel Talbott that stars Kathryn Erbe and Seth Numrich.

The play concerns a family in crisis: an older brother, a middle sister and a younger brother. "They've been sent out to the woods by their mother to bury their infant sibling, who has stopped breathing in its crib and been dead about three days," he explains.

Indeed, Yosemite has challenged him to find action in the lyrical language. "Through language, these characters are trying to escape the situation they're in," says Pascal. "It's just them and their words that are so purely motivated by the emotional need to survive."...

Maybe you saw the tweets that North Shore Animal League America was allowed to ring the NASDAQ bell last December. I registered the event and also hoped of more information (links via twitter) but didn't grab deeper because there was no hint of Kathryn anywhere a month ago. Yesterday, I stumbles over the NSALA facebook page and clicked through their photo albums, seeing that Kathryn visited the event, too. She didn't ring the bell, but she attended the following DogCatemy Rescue Awards.

When it comes to contributions in canine care, many television viewers call Cesar Millan a pack leader, and on December 8, 2011 the Dog Whisperer was honored for his efforts with the first-ever “Cesar Millan Award for Excellence in Mutt-i-gree Education” at North Shore Animal League America‘s annual DogCatemy Rescue Awards Dinner.

After the Nat Geo Wild star rang the closing bell at NASDAQ Marketsite in Times Square, it was time for the dinner bell to ring at the start of a star-studded, sold-out soiree emceed by Brian Kilmeade, a co-host of Fox News Channel’s FOX and Friends.

The evening included a line up of animal-loving luminaries, including Law and Order star Kathryn Erbe, actor Josh Flitter (Santa Buddies) and Beth Stern, wife of shock jock Howard Stern and a celebrity spokesperson for NSALA who appears on the organization’s 2012 calendar.

Friends of Fidos and felines who were unable to attend the fundraiser will feel like virtual guests at the glitterati-filled event thanks to North Shore Animal League America, which shares the evening in the following video:

Mother's House - new website

Cadaver - Icon Tutorials

I use Photoshop CS3 and I thank cath from caths_arts for her German-English PS translation list.

Oh dear, I wrote this tutorial months ago but never published it. Here we go:

A few days ago I found shalowater’s LJ and the beautiful textures she created. I hadn’t done any more dimensional icons for a while but all the lovely textures inspired me to look through my L&O: CI – Cadaver caps. I found two wonderful pictures of Alex and made two new icons.

A)

Step 1:
Take your cap, crop the part you want to include in the icon and do everything else like sharpening or lightening. [In the most cases I add a new fill layer in white and set it to soft light. Then I duplicate the base and set it in soft light on top. Merge all three layers together and sharpen it.]

Step 2:
Open texture1 and set it to Hard Light - opacity 100%. I like the darkening of the frame and corners but didn’t want to change Alex too much. Take the eraser tool to reduce the texture over Alex’s face.

Step 3:
Take texture2 and add it to your icon. Set it to Pin Light - opacity 100%. Again erase the texture over Alex’s face.

Step 4:
Like I told you, I found a lot of wonderful textures and wanted to use them all. Take texture3 and set it to Linear Dodge - opacity 100%. Erase the dots which bug your icon subject.

Step 5:
Add this violet changing texture4 and set it to Color - opacity 100%. I really like the cap coloration (love the green) but with the monochromation the icon and Alex’s expression get more powerful.

Step 6:
Put one more texture5 to your icon and set it to Screen - opacity 50%. Again erase the area over Alex’s head.

Step 7:
To give the icon a bit more contrast: new layer --> New Adjustment Layer --> Brightness/Contrast: Contrast: +30

Step 8:
To finish the icon duplicate the base and add it at top of your layer stack. Set your icon to Soft Light - opacity 40% and also go to Filter --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur: 2,0.

Step 1:

I really like icons with not plain edges. Open texture6 and blow it to width: 211, high: 222. Set it to Hard Light - opacity 100% and moving over your icon subject until you like the result.

Step 3:
Take texture7 and add it to your icon. Set it to Screen - opacity 100%. I didn’t want Alex’s face covered with the text, so move it a bit to the left side.

Step 4:
Open texture8 and set it to Pin Light - opacity 100%. Not to disturb the balance of the text move also the cross a bit to the left side until it centers the text. Use the Smudge tool and extend the right line of the cross to the end of your icon.

Step 5:
Open texture9 and change the dimensions to width: 123, high: 122. Set it to Overlay- opacity 100%. Move the texture over the icon that the face is in the circle plus the ring follows the curve of Alex’s hair.

Step 6:
To finish the icon duplicate the base and add it at top of your layer stack. Set your icon to Soft Light - opacity 50%.

If Prada and Gucci are generally Hollywood's Most Wanted -- with movie and television actors covering themselves in brand names as if they were race cars -- Kathryn Erbe is uniquely un-Hollywood. "I won't spend lavishly on a trend," she said, "because I know I'll only wear it for about a minute."

Ms. Erbe, who plays a detective on "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," fills her closet with clothes from stores like Banana Republic and Urban Outfitters. While her television wardrobe consists mostly of tailored pantsuits by Armani and Ann Taylor ("The network guys said, 'No skirts.' Since I'm only 5 foot 4, they felt that pants showed my figure more"), her standard daytime wear consists of Levi's jeans, Gap T-shirts and a Tibetan monks' bag.

Last week at a party sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue for National Breast Cancer Month, Ms. Erbe dressed true to form, in a Fashion Targets Breast Cancer T-shirt ($25 at Saks Fifth Avenue), Joie jeans with crystal detailing on the pockets and legs ($125 at www.funkylala .com), a Catherine Malandrino red star belt ($198 at Henri Bendel), red stiletto Michael Perry ankle boots ($440 at Michael Perry) and an old Betsey Johnson leopard handbag.

This winter, Ms. Erbe plans to stock up on Chaiken and Capone trousers and studded boots and bags from Eidolen in Brooklyn. She's also searching for the "perfect" down coat. And while her Brooklyn address means she generally shops downtown, "my shrink's uptown, so I can pop into the uptown stores once a week," she said.

Bobby Goren didn’t know if he should gasp for air or give up and break down. He wanted to laugh about the whole situation but he was afraid he would collapse.

“LEG CURL”

God, and he really had asked for this session.

“KNEES UP!”

Please NOT knees up. Everything but knees up, but Bobby lifted his legs to the beat of a very quick version of Waterloo. He turned slightly his head and watched his partner sweating.

The sessions with Dr. Gyson verified for Bobby that he needed to change something in his life. Maybe not more talking with the psychiatrist even if the mandatory meetings were not as bad as he thought they would be. But he badly wanted to tone his body again. Yes, lately he had kept an eye on his meals. More cooking plus water and less takeout plus soda had helped him lose weight. But Bobby wanted more – not GQ perfection but a few more muscles here and there would be nice. His home treadmill had been broken for years and was covered with dust. Moreover he wanted company and to not be lonely anymore. Wednesday he had asked Eames for suggestions. She had proposed the free NYPD sports program and had invited him to her aerobic workout to try it out.

“STEP TOUCH!”

Phu, the warm up was over. Alex smiled toward him as she toweled her red face. Bobby didn’t try to return the smile, knowing he would totally fail and end up with a grotesque wacko face. Instead he nodded and took a sip of water. Now began the dance part of the hour.

When Eames had talked about her dance aerobic course Bobby became very interested. He loved to dance and combining this with a little cardio would be awesome to get in shape again. He hadn’t expected that only women visited the course and that the trainer would be a post Soviet drill instructor.

“MAMBO!”

The beautiful face, the stomach like a trampoline and a butt to crack walnuts with couldn’t hide the fact that this woman liked to torture her students and there wasn’t only a little cardio.

“CHA CHA!”

But Bobby started to like the mixture of steps, turns and jumps. His arms flew elegantly through the air, his body was energized and he felt good. Even the odd gazes and smirks of the other officers couldn’t dampen his growing fun. He liked the reflection of his moving body in the one wall mirror, how he followed the instructions of the increasing choreography. Now and then he glanced at Eames. Her sweet ponytail flew around her head. She needed to concentrate to remember the right steps but her style was cool more a street dancer than an élève, which also emphasized her beige cargo slacks and the short tank top.

The second part was over in a rush. Bobby felt euphoric but as they picked up their yoga mats, he felt ----- oh, boy. I’m not sure what to do here. Also Alex’s rolling eyes didn’t calm him. 1000 sit ups in 10 different variations, hips up, legs up to tone the butt, belly and legs convinced him that the Russian slave driver liked her job too much.

“THREE SMALL!”

Bobby groaned powerlessly but he wasn’t the only objector. His muscled burned and he was ready to give up. Alex kept up till the end. Bobby always knew that his partner was a fighter and now he realized why all these skittles and cookies hadn’t spread her backside.

The cool down phase was welcomed with a collected gasp of relieve. After another 15 minutes of relaxing and stretching the aerobic course was over. Without a gaze back, slowly Bobby shuffled to the male locker room and took a hot shower to ease his shaking muscles even more.

After the dressing, Alex awaited him in the juice bar of the fitness center. Her wet hair was knotted in a chignon and she wore again her working outfit, a blue low cut sweater and dark jeans. Bobby lowered clumsily next to his partner on a bar stool and dropped his duffle bag. Thankfully he took a big gulp of the offered apple spritzer. In silence they enjoy each other company, observing through the big glass walls the next spinning lesson of their trainer.

“She is…” Bobby groaned.

“Inexorable,” Alex giggled.

“Yeah. How long have you been going to her class?”

“Must be three months now. I wanted a little variety from the usual bums, tums and thighs workout,” Alex answered. “Every Friday I go to the dance aerobic and Tuesday I have a course called boxing aerobic. There you have more arm action and also a few kicks for the legs. The muscle toning part is supported with small barbells.”

“Sounds cool and exhausting.”

“It is. I like the mix of both courses. Kickboxing against fighting suspects and the dance for a better posture. I know I’m rather a boxer than an elegant dancer but the little choreographies are fun.”

“No, you looked great,” Bobby protested.

“But the world lost a ballet dancer with you,” Alex answered, and reached for her shoulder bag and the gym bag.

Outside the fitness center both halted again.

“Do you like another drink to finish the day? Only three blocks west is a nice Jazz bar with great live music,” Bobby suggested.

“I would love to, but you know. It’s my week to check my dad.”

“Oh, okay.”

“I need to buy groceries for him and I bet his living room is a mess. Yesterday the Red Socks played and he invited friends and former colleagues over.”

“All right,” Bobby answered, trying to hide his disappointment. But he couldn’t convince his partner.

“But what do you think about breakfast tomorrow morning? We’re not on-call. There is a new bakery in my neighborhood with so so so delicious scones and pastries. I’ll get the biscuits and make scrambled eggs and you bring the coffee and the newspapers. We make a long brunch in my winter garden or on the terrace.”

“Sounds awesome,” Bobby replied. “I’ll be there around ten?”

“Great.”

Bobby touched Alex lightly on her shoulder and slowly bent deeper. Gently he kissed her right cheek and said good bye. At work they weren’t the feely, touchy, kissy friends, but today after the shared 90 minutes torture it felt right.

Already on her way to subway A, Alex turned again around to wave to Bobby before he reached the next block to his subway to Green Point.

Alex closed her front door with a kick and entered the kitchen, the warm biscuits under her arm. She only needed to make the eggs and set the table for the breakfast with Bobby as her phone rang. She picked up the receiver but only heard a painful groan on the other end of the line.

“Eames…”

“Goren?” Alex already picked up her car keys and the gun, guessing the worst. “What? Where are you?”

“Bed…I can’t move…worst sore muscles ever,” he whispered.

Alex burst out laughing but managed to cover the mouthpiece. She knew too well how she felt after her first lesson with Natasha.

“Stay there. I’ll come over with the breakfast. Give me 30 minutes.”

“Thanks.”

Alex reached Brooklyn in no time and used her spare keys to let herself in Bobby’s apartment, picking up the New York Times of the doorsill. With a big picnic basket, holding an extensive breakfast, she stepped toward his bedroom and knocked carefully against the door frame.

“Come in,” Bobby panted, and Alex entered the cozy den of her partner.

Cause and Effect. Yesterday Bobby was the most elegant dancer in the group, but many muscles groups hadn’t worked in months. Today he was a picture of misery. Under groans of pain he shifted his tall frame to one side of the mattress, making space for his partner.

With few words she spread the bread, pastries, jelly and cheese over the king size bed. The scrambled eggs were inside a thermos box. Alex passed Bobby his paper cup with To Go coffee. But she changed her mind and got porcelain plates and cups from the kitchen.

Alex sat down carefully at the end of the bed, smiling guiltily. “I’m sorry,” she said, buttering a half biscuit.

“No, it’s not your fault. It was all my choice to join the class.”

“The second time won’t be that grueling,” Alex answered, and rummaged in the basket.

Second time? Bobby still didn’t know how to get to work on Monday and Eames was speaking of a second hour of torture.

“Here, this bath salt and the massage oil helped me a lot after my first lesson.” Alex passed two good smelling bottles.

“I’ll try it, thank you,” Bobby said, and unfolded the newspaper to share with Alex. “How was your dad...?”

Why does Emmy seem to avoid the dynamic stalwarts on long-running shows?

For a new series, especially one teetering on the ratings bubble, an Emmy nomination can bring much-needed attention to the show. As a result, networks often spend a lion's share of marketing dollars promoting worthy performances in their emerging series. But the spotlight doesn't always shine as brightly on established, long-running shows, leaving some of the best dramatic work of television overlooked come award season.
For instance, Maura Tierney has served as the grounding force on "ER" in recent years, but hasn't been nominated since her first season on the show.

"After 12 years on the air, the show itself stops being even thought about in those terms," says the actress, whose onscreen pregnancy was threatened by a hostage situation in the season finale. "'ER' had its moment, and now there are new shows that deserve to be recognized. So unfortunately, if you got on a show when that moment has passed, maybe your work is not as recognized as it could be in that particular way. But it doesn't mean it's still not satisfying."

Another series regular unrecognized for years of solid work is S. Epatha Merkerson, who won her first Emmy in 2005 for her role in HBO's "Lackawanna Blues." In her 13 seasons on "Law & Order," she has never been nominated for her contributions as Lt. Anita Van Buren.

According to "Law & Order" exec producer Nicholas Wootton, "The lieutenant job in any copshow is always the toughest position." Those actors have to work as a sounding board and don't typically get the scenery-chewing scenes the detectives do. "Every season with Epatha, we always try to give her a show or two episodes because she is so good," he says, but when it comes to awards, "I think there's sort of a natural tendency to want to look towards the fresher, newer person on the scene."

After six seasons, "Gilmore Girls" star Lauren Graham takes a pragmatic approach to the awards process. "People vote for what they like," she says. "All of these things are to some degree about popularity. It's not like we're the most popular show in the world. We're in a tough position -- we're still on a network (the WB), but it's a network that isn't as watched."

The primary driving force for staying focused and growing in a role isn't the specter of possible Emmy consideration but in finding those moments of personal growth and satisfaction. "To keep interesting and fresh and not repeat yourself is a challenge," Tierney says. "When we can pull that off and still do a relevant show, that's really satisfying in and of itself."

Graham's "Gilmore Girls" co-star Alex Bledel agrees. "The great thing is to work on a show with good writing, to have material that is challenging. I certainly don't have any expectations. An award is just a wonderful extra."

Character growth and nuanced performances rarely get rewarded with Emmy nominations, a fact "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star Kathryn Erbe readily accepts.

"While I appreciate the value of awards, I have gotten used to not being nominated," she laughs. "I've gotten used to having a not-so-flashy career. I con sider myself a blue-collar actor. I have done other things on television that might have been more appropriate for Emmy consideration, like 'Oz,' where I got to flex my emotional acting muscles more than playing Detective Eames, where those emotional moments are few and far between.

"For the most part, in terms of awards and in terms of the job -- because I am so grateful and so lucky to have it -- I have resigned myself to finding what I can to feel good about and stretch my own muscles as much as I can within what I am given, because it is what it is."

Erbe says that the biggest rewards come from the audience. "Almost everywhere I go now, there is someone who will say something to me, and it is incredibly gratifying. I am not the kind of person who is going to go to the luncheons or go socialize because I don't have time. I cannot really compete in the way that maybe some other people can. I'm a single mother of two just trying to live my life and do good work that I can be proud of. So every time the work is recognized, I am so deeply grateful. That alone means a lot to me, forget about the actual award."

Leslie Siebert, senior managing partner of the Gersh Agency, believes that in the big picture of a career, the importance of an Emmy nomination or win is overstated. "We'd all love our clients to get nominated for Emmys," she says. "We are fortunate enough to have Patricia Arquette as a client, and she won last year for 'Medium.' And it was fantastic for her, but did it change her life? Probably not. Did it help her get movie roles more easily? Not necessarily. In a renegotiation, it can be very, very helpful if you can say your client has won an Emmy, but other than that, I honestly don't really see where it has any lasting impact."

Tierney echoes that sentiment: "My Emmy experience is very weird personally because the year I was nominated, 9/11 happened. So the Emmys were canceled. Then we bombed Afghanistan, and they were canceled again. There was so much going on in the world that was horrifying and impactful that it completely put awards in perspective -- they're a nice perk, but you don't really think about them."

This Kathryn Erbe interview is from today's issue of The Advertiser, Sydney, Australia...

Intent on the toddler, Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe is on the phone from America. "Excuse me one second, I just have to kiss my son goodbye," she says. Her son Carson Kinney is the reason why Erbe's character Detective Alex Eames will be off air for a while.

Erbe took maternity leave from the show after Carson was born in October (her husband is Terry Kinney) and was off screen for "about six weeks". Dallas-born Samantha Buck (Third Watch ) is filling in as Detective G. Lynn Bishop - assisting Detective Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) in the absence of regular partner, Eames.

Erbe describes the towering D'Onofrio as "fantastic and complicated and challenging" to work with.

"It's always inspiring and has been quite a journey working together for as long we have," she says. "It's important to take time and think things through and be creative. He (Vincent) always does that and sometimes I have patience for that and sometimes I don't and we have sort of power struggles."

So who wins?

"A lot of the time I win, he's very generous in that way."

… Two performances stand out. Kathryn Erbe is exceptionally fine as the young, sweetly bewildered Vera, whom the jealous Natalya Petrovna drives into a loveless marriage. Though John Christopher Jones is onstage only for a couple of scenes, he effectively steals the play as "the fat, stupid, pompous" landowner who wins Vera's hand by default. Daniel Talbott's Yosemite to feature Kathryn Erbe Off-Broadway

Tony Award nominee Kathryn Erbe, Seth Numrich, Noah Galvin and Libby Woodbridge will appear in the world premiere of Daniel Talbott's Yosemite, which will begin Off-Broadway previews Jan. 18, 2012, at the Rattlestick Theater.

Pedro Pascal (underneathmybed, Flaca Loves Bone) will direct the four-actor drama about siblings who gather in the snowy woods to face a family secret. Yosemite will officially open Jan. 26, 2012, for a run through Feb. 26, 2012.

Kathryn Erbe (The Speed of Darkness, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent") will play Julie, with Numrich (War Horse, Blind) as Jake, Galvin (The Burnt Part Boys, Ace) as Jer and Woodbridge (Jerusalem, Gabriel) as Ruby.

"Yosemite," according to the Rattlestick, "tells the story of three siblings who are sent out into the snow-silent woods in the Sierra Nevada foothills to dig a hole that will be deep enough to bury a family secret. As they dig, they search for a way to escape or be rescued from their lives as the snow continues to fall and the world sinks in around them."

The design team includes Raul Abrego (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Joel Moritz (lighting design) Janie Bullard (sound design) and Andrew Diaz (properties).

Talbott is an actor, writer, director and producer. He most recently appeared in Tony winner Christine Jones' Theatre for One in Times Square. His plays include Slipping and What Happened When. He is the artistic director of Rising Phoenix Rep.

Flickr was again kind to me. Sometimes it's good to dig a little deeper. I found three more on set snapshots of the Self-Made sequence [mmmmh, what a nice birthday gift]. Of course I love this scene. It's one of the few TOUCH moments of Bobby and Alex.

I really understand why cars can be sold with hot chicks on the hood. Seeing Vincent sprawl onto the SUV is doing the same with me.

As I was looking for more Kathryn photos of the ‘Happy Hour’ After Party I stumbled over a few pictures I never saw before (will show you soon) and could also finally name a few pictures I own for years but could never tell the event. The female group photo, all in black and with the red feather boas results from The Vagina Monologues – A Celebration of the Feminine! back in 2006. Ethan Coen's Happy Hour Opening

Off-Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company opened the world premiere of Happy Hour, a collection of three one-act comedies by Academy Award winner Ethan Coen, Dec. 5 following previews from Nov. 16 at the Peter Norton Space on West 42nd Street. Joey Slotnick, Clark Gregg and Aya Cash are among the players.

Playwright and filmmaker Coen ("No Country for Old Men") is currently represented on Broadway with one-third of Relatively Speaking, a trio of one-act comedies that also features the work of Woody Allen and Elaine May. Coen's comedies Almost an Evening and Offices premiered at ATC.

For Happy Hour, ATC artistic director Neil Pepe (Broadway's Speed the Plow) directs an ensemble cast that includes Cassie Beck (Atlantic's Oohrah!), Aya Cash (Offices), Clark Gregg ("Iron Man," "The New Adventures of Old Christine"), Susan Hyon (Crane Story), Rock Kohli, Gordon MacDonald ("Trumbo," "Saving Grace"), Amanda Quaid (Equus), Ana Reeder (Top Girls), Joey Slotnick (Almost an Evening) and Lenny Venito.

Guests at the performance and After Party included Jessica Biel, Kathryn Erbe, Carla Gugino, Jeffrey Lawson, Mary McCann and Isiah Whitlock, Jr.

I really adore Kathryn's clothes ensemble. The coat is amazing, tight jeans and cool boots. The top/sweater reminds me of the black shirt Alex wore to the last scene of To the Boy in the blue Knit Cap. Wow, her hair is getting really dark again...mhm.

Being Thankful

Here in Germany we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I wish all my US friends a wonderful long four days weekend. Even I got a gift yesterday. See what Ingrid Price sent me. I thank her and the whole Mother's House crew very very much for the movie DVD [with German subtitles: jippy]. I am really happy that you let me be so close during the production and also now for the film festival time. I can't wait of the next festival announcements for 2012. Make a red cross for December 6th. There Sundance will publish their short film program list.

When Bobby started to sway his hips to the ¾ measure, the gleam in Alex’s eyes brightened. With a smile on her lips she remembered all the times he danced - in front of her with the sad eyed B-girl, around her during the first case after her maternity leave or behind her in the music studio of Jojo Rios. Her partner was a great dancer. Okay, maybe not in the moment as they found Jenny Hendry but he did a good job with Margie Timmons.

But the partners had never danced together. They never held each other’s hands, bodies nestled close against each other. This would be the first time. Alex took Bobby’s open and inviting hand and in the next moment she was pressed against him, her blushed cheek at his chest. Alex could feel how Bobby’s knee moved between her hot thighs. He whispered, “One, two, three, four five, six,” counting the beat and then they waltzed through the old-fashioned dusty ballroom. Alex didn’t care that they didn’t have the right posture, or that her arms started to hurt because of their body differences. It was too wonderful to glide in Bobby’s embrace over the worn-out parquet, following his moves.

Bobby smiled softly. Meeting Alex Eames again showed him that he was really back home, back home from his year in Europe. He hadn’t called her to notify her of his visit but to see her bright eyes and so pleased made him more than happy.

“I have a small present for you,” he said, and fetched a black box out of his coat pocket.

“Oh,” Alex responded insecure. She didn’t know if she should take the gift. Bobby opened the case and brought out a necklace with a yellow gold pendant looking like a slice of a tree. Alex inhaled audible. Now she was sure she wanted the gift but her good manners told her to refuse.

“Please Eames, you would treat me.” Bobby wrestled the jewel from the dark velvet underlay. He laid the ornament onto his palm.

Alex couldn’t take her eyes off the small shimmering piece in his big hand. She touched the gold, she touched him gently and then their eyes locked.

“I…I found it at a little craft market in Krakow,” Bobby said after seconds which passed like hours, “and thought of you.”

“Will you help me put it on?”

He nodded and stepped behind his friend. Alex moved her hair to one side. However, Bobby gently touched her slender neck and languorous shivers ran down her spine. After he closed the clasp, he turned her around and beheld his work. The gold slice of a tree completed Alex’s small cross. “Perfect.” There was only the matching ring which burned inside his pocket, but it wasn’t the right time to give it to her, not yet...

Part I

Alex Eames knew she was late, but starting work after a sweaty workout without taking a shower was also not comfortable. In addition it was the last day where men and women shared one shower room at Major Case Squad. The constructions should be done this afternoon and the male officers and detectives could move back to their rooms. Alex had had a wash a few times out of the female shower times and had never met anyone else. Today she trained alone again in the gym. She was safe.

Alex rinsed her shampooed hair. The soft foam ran down her spine to her butt and water vapor filled the small tilted room as a soft breeze hit her exposed skin. Her neck prickled and her hair stood on end. Alex heard a gasp and ‘Oh, my…Eames?’ whisper.

“Goren?” she asked, and turned off the water. “I…I’m done.” Alex wrapped quickly in her big towel and peeked around the corner into the locker room. Her partner leaned against the entrance door – eyes lowered, wearing only a blue NYPD towel around his hips.

“I thought I was alone in the gym,” Alex said, rubbing her wet hair, looking everywhere but Bobby’s direction.

“Y…you were. I jogged to work.”

“Oh! All right.” Alex stepped to her locker, fighting with the padlock. “See you at our desks in fifteen minutes?”

“Yeah, I’ll bring the coffee,” Bobby answered, and Alex heard the swoosh of the shower starting.

Part II

Alex’s foot hit the water surface and dipped into the blanket of foam. A languorous moan escaped her throat as more and more of her tiny body sank into the hot water, vapor curled her bangs. She leaned back in the oversized tub and enjoyed the feeling of his strong body behind her.

Butterflies in her tummy and heat between her legs, Alex heard a gasp and ‘Oh, my…Eames!’ whisper.

“Bobby,” she moaned, and turned around. “I…I’m not done with you.” Alex wrapped her arms and legs around her husband. He had closed his eyes, only feeling with his fingers her firm curves.

“I thought I could have a bath alone.”

“D…don’t pay attention to me,” Alex replied, rubbing her knee over Bobby’s dick.

“Uh! All right.”

Alex pressed her breasts even closer Bobby’s chest, running her fingers through his wet curls. “See you after my orgasm.”

“Yeah, I’ll give you everything you need,” Bobby answered, and turned them both around. Alex closed her eyes and heard the swash of the brewing waves.

Diego Florez was born 1871 in 'The City'. He grew up in the Barbary Coast and decided at a very young age to become a member of the 'Golden Gate Brigade'. He saw how his oldest brother died in a gang fight and his mom prostitute herself besides being a laundress to support her family. He wanted a better life for himself and his little family. Because Diego knows all the different characters of Barbary, he is of value to the San Francisco crime fighting team. There are the hard working people who saw him becoming a man, the junkies who hit the books with him and the criminals who attended him his whole life.

Celebrity Bartending Night

New York's television and theatrical celebrities will take their place behind the bar at the semi-annual "Stockings with Care Celebrity Bartending Night" in New York City, Wednesday November 16 at Hudson Station Bar and Grill (440 Ninth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets) from 7pm to 11pm to raise money for the not-for-profit organization. Stockings with Care provides holiday gifts for children whose families either live in homeless shelters or are in jeopardy of becoming homeless. I know I didn't post very regularly anymore. I'm busy at the LJ and the tvrealm community. There are two big challenges which will end very soon. I also signed up for two new 20 in 20 icon rounds (Mark Salling for guys20in20 and Kate Beckinsale for luck20in20). I hope when I finished these projects I'll spend again more time for Lovely Kathryn. I have many more idea.

But I hope all Kathryn fans of the New York area visited the Big Apple Film Festival and watched Mother's House at the weekend.

Today The Consoler (der Tröster) will have it's German tv premiere. I badly need to show you the vox opening credits of season 10. I read that the quotes of the first episodes were good even though vox didn't advertise the final season very much. I saw a few nice clips but hadn't a chance to record it. Maybe today?

In the meantime three amazing drawings I found at deviantart.com. I always wished to inherit the talent of my dad, but my sister was the lucky one. Unbelievable what some people can draw...

Alex always drove the SUV, and Tommy? He would never let another human drive his Bentley.
Both had a wonderful childhood in a perfect family – at least it was perfect during their childhood. He is the 3rd Lord of Asherton like his father; she became a cop like her dad.
Alexandra lost her Joe because of a gunshot; Thomas lost Helen because of a gunshot and in the same second his unborn child. Alex had to give up Nathan, although she carried and supported him nine months.
Because Weberly had this accident, Lynley became a DCI; Alex had the chance to become the captain of the MCS. Loyalty made her reject the promotion.
She always will be Eames to her partner Bobby; Tommy will forever call his partner Havers.

Barbara’s family was a whole catastrophe. Her brother died because of leukemia, when she was a little girl. Her father died a few years ago from lack of oxygen and now her confused mom lives with other old and senile people in a home. Bobby’s mom lived at Carmel Ridge psychiatric facility before she died of cancer. His father was a bon vivant who left his family. And his brother Frank? He was a gambler and drug addict who was killed by Bobby’s nemesis.
Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers had to wear the uniform again, after she shot a police woman to save a child from drowning. Lynley fought so hard for her that she could leave the Constable rank after a few months; Bobby lost his badge too. Did Alex help him to come back?

Both Major Case Squad and New Scotland Yard; New York City and Great Britain; four great police officers. two wonderful teams; partners in crime with one mission. They will never kiss their partner although I need this so much and therefore I hate Dick Wolf and Elizabeth George though they are so perfect at the things they do.

This guy was just too crazy. I needed a little break and left the interrogation room.

“You’re mine,” he hissed as I closed the door, and the Captain tried his luck. My throat hurt from the bite but I didn’t want to go home before we got a confession. I slipped into the dimmed observation room and stepped toward Goren behind the one way mirror. In silence we watched Ross using all his tricks with Chernowitz. The suspect was even taller than my partner but very slim. I could feel every bone as he’d caught me in his embrace and had dug his sharpened teeth into my neck. Wearing only black to his pale skin, the unwashed hair and with the black eye he really looked like death.

“How are you feeling?” Bobby tried to ask. But it was hard to get through to me. Chernowitz’s cold blue eyes fixed me and didn’t let me escape although in fact he couldn’t see me through the window. In the end Bobby’s warm fingertips at the back of my hand broke me away from this impenetrable gaze. I looked up and saw sorrow in the warm brown eyes of my partner. He was again so close and I felt safe. Bobby was the one who had freed me out of the grip of Chernowitz. It had been his strong chest I could lean again and taking a liberating breath. My nostrils quivered. I smelled once again Bobby’s masculine scent. It was more overwhelming than ever before. How would it be to bury my nose in the soft crook of his neck? Would I fade into his unique odor?
There was still my blood on his shirt…blood…blood…red…life. It pulsated through Bobby’s vessels and veins. Under his collar, his pulse, red swollen lips. Each of my senses was sharp as a knife. I was so thirsty, thirsty for him…

…God these pain killers were amazing.

Heal & Caring: Medical Intent

The Saint James Hospital at One Patient Plaza is the work and love place of the doctors and nurses of Medical Intent. Dr. Daniel Ross is the hospital administrator of St. Jimmy‘s. He has his hands full to coordinate all the different personalities. But he always finds the time to date the Chief of Medicine, Prof. Elizabeth Rodgers.
There is Dr. Michael Logan, the pediatrician at St. Jimmy’s. He is a famous physician with a keen sense of his little patients. His only guilty pleasures are women. He can’t stop flirting and seducing the female employees of the hospital. Megan Wheeler is a second-year resident at the emergency room. She works closely with Dr. Carver, the senior physician and head of the ER department, who is also a forensic expert. Carolyn Barek is the capable head nurse, but her new student nurse Nola Falacci is driving her crazy. So crazy she needs the psychiatric help of Dr. Paula Gyson. When something goes wrong and people die, Dr. William Hannah is looking for the cause of death. He is the medical examiner at St. James.
Dr. Alexandra Eames is the heart surgeon at St. Jimmy’s. She is the star of the surgical ward and the only woman at the hospital who could deny Mike’s pick-up lines. She would never admit it, but the medical genius Robert Goren stole her heart and even with her big knowledge about every little heart detail Alex doesn’t know how to heal her own pain. Bobby is the hospital all-rounder. He can do it all: ophthalmology, gynecology, medical research and nursing. He also tries in periodic sessions to steal Paula’s job and in his free time he drives an ambulance.
Medical Intent is all about the healing of sick people…nah, not really. It’s a show only about the relationships of doctors and nurses.

Let's cross our fingers that the movie release will really be April next year and that there will be a few more film festivals before. Last week I tried to contact the producers again. Now the mail address didn't work anymore.

Venom my dear NYC and Kathryn connection

Venom was able to talk again with Kathryn (sigh, I'm so happy for him but I also want a chance of this pleasure. Here an extract of their conversation.

...She asked how I was doing, and I asked how it was going there and what she was working on, but to which she said nothing just yet. I suggested Lilah get a show and she said "Yeah, that'd be great, wouldn't it?"

I hope we'll hear very soon about new projects of Kathryn and Lilah [maybe she isn't allow to say something but already negotiating].
